A Community Effort to Beautify Montgomery and Reduce Litter
As part of our participation in the Greatest American Cleanup, the Montgomery Clean City Commission is launching Capital Blooms—a citywide initiative to plant 25,000 daffodil bulbs in public spaces across Montgomery. This project is powered by local community organizations, including neighborhood associations, churches, and nonprofits, who will plant bulbs in parks, gateways, and other shared spaces.
More than just a beautification effort, Capital Blooms helps reduce litter by fostering community pride and ownership. When people see well-maintained, vibrant public areas, they’re more likely to treat them with respect—leading to cleaner, safer neighborhoods for everyone.
Together, we’re showing what it means to love our city—by planting beauty, building civic pride, and creating a cleaner Montgomery for generations to come.
